Biosafety Administrators Best Practice Meeting
Best Practice (BP) meetings provide individuals the opportunity to identify, share and discuss best practices that are used to satisfying compliance responsibilities associated with an organization biosafety programs. During BP meetings, individuals representing programs from across the country present materials and facilitate discussions on best practices used by their organizations to satisfy the regulatory requirements.

Proposed Meeting Agenda*
* Registrants will be individually contacted and ask for suggestions on agenda topics. The objective is to ensure we are discussing topics according to the needs of our meeting participants. Current potential agenda topics:
- An overview of the NIH Guidelines;
- Bio-Therapeutics case study discussion;
- Understanding the NIH rDNA Risk Groups;
- Harmonizing IBC and IACUC activities;
- IBC oversight of animal containment facilities;
- the protocol review process;
- CRISPR-Cas9 technology;
- Dual Use;
- Biohazards in a teaching lab;
- Synthetic biology oversight;
- The use of hazardous agents in animals; and
- any other ideas offered by meeting attendees.

- IBC Association Members Rates: $235
- Non-members: $335 (Until September 1, 2018) and $385 (Late registration)

* $250 is the membership fee for the IBC Administrators Association; we encourage you to complete the membership application and sign-up to attend our meeting as a Biosafety Administrators Associate Member.
